Adult Inpatient & Outpatient Treatment Programs
Valle Vista Health System offers a number of programs for adults ages 18 to 70 who are experiencing mental health issues.
Whether a patient is experiencing acute symptoms that need immediate inpatient care or they’re looking to “step down” into an outpatient program, we have options to meet the various needs of our patients. We also offer multiple options for adults dealing with substance abuse and addiction issues.
After an initial no-cost assessment, the level of intensity and duration of behavioral health or mental health treatment is determined and varies according to each patient’s needs.

Our Treatment Programs
Whether you need an acute program, PHP program, IOP program or even substance use program, Valle Vista Health System has all of your mental health needs covered.
Acute Adult Inpatient Program
Our adult acute program works to quickly stabilize the most serious symptoms and allow for a transition to less-intensive levels of mental health care.
With stabilization, the main short-term goal, our program is designed to help you or your loved one take positive steps forward and continue through the continuum of care to potentially successful outcomes in the long-term.
Our treatment center is located just south of downtown Indianapolis, Indiana.

Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Our adult partial hospitalization program for mental health is a full-time day program that takes place five days a week at our treatment facility.
Here, you or your loved one will attend therapies and work on skills that focus on not just your mental health issues, but who you are as a person.
Adult PHP components at Valle Vista include:
Meetings Monday through Friday, typically 9 a.m to 3 p.m., but hours can vary.
Individual therapy, group therapy and family therapy as well as counseling as ordered by the psychiatrist or nurse practitioner.

Adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Adult intensive outpatient treatment from Valle Vista Health System is a part-time day program that takes place a few days throughout the week. Adult intensive outpatient treatment components include:
- Meetings three days a week and evening hours are available
- Group therapy as ordered by the psychiatrist or nurse practitioner
- Family therapy is desired for family member involvement
- Mental Health focused programming has cognitive behavioral focus, which includes personalized care and aftercare plans
An intensive outpatient program for mental health can be beneficial to individuals who require treatment but do not meet the requirements for an inpatient stay.
