The Outpatient Opioid Treatment Program uses evidence-based approaches to teach effective coping skills that will help patients lead a drug-free lifestyle and minimize the chances of relapse.

Admission to the outpatient drug and alcohol addiction treatment program is based on presenting symptoms, willingness to follow program requirements and an apparent need for treatment.

After an assessment, all patients receive an individualized treatment plan that meets their specific needs. Your treatment should match your needs, and we assess and decide the best treatment for you.

The Opioid Epidemic

According to the National Center for Drug Abuse Statistics:

• Half of people 12 and older have used illicit drugs at least once.
• Over 10 million people misuse opioids in a year.
• Almost 50,000 people die every year from opioid overdose.
• Drug overdose deaths in the US since 2000 are nearing one (1) million.
• Taking opioids for a period longer than three months increases the risk of addiction 15 times.

The state of Indiana is feeling the effects of the opioid epidemic as well. Prescription opioids are a factor in more than 33% of opioid overdose deaths in the state. Also, in the state of Indiana, 17.5 out of every 100,000 residents die from an opioid overdose.

Medication-Assisted Treatment

Our outpatient opioid treatment center offers Medication-Assisted Treatment for substance use disorders as a treatment option if necessary.

The stereotype of MAT being a quick visit to a methadone clinic for methadone treatment or treating drugs with drugs is wrong. Medically supervised and combined with counseling for both substance abuse and mental health disorders, MAT can be effective as a treatment for drug addiction.

The Continuum of Care

Every individual is unique, and a drug recovery program isn’t one-size-fits-all — and we get that. People who attend our outpatient opioid addiction treatment center may need more intensive care from our inpatient rehab program or lesser treatment in the form of intensive outpatient care.
